What to put on it
Three things, in this order: the child's full name as it appears on the certificate, the date of the baptism, and — if there's room — who it's from. "Your Godmother, Aunt Rosa" reads better in twenty years than "Rosa."
Skip nicknames. The child will grow into their full name, and the keepsake outlives the nickname.

How far ahead should I order?
Everything here is made after you order, so allow two to three weeks before the ceremony. Baptisms are often scheduled months out, which makes this one of the easier occasions to plan for — order as soon as you have the date. See the shipping policy for current timings.
Baptism or christening — does the wording differ?
They're the same sacrament under different names, and which word a family uses is usually denominational. Our plaques say "baptism" except the star plaque, which says christening. If the family's invitation says christening, that's the one to pick.
Is a plaque appropriate from someone who isn't a godparent?
Yes — use the unattributed version. The from-godmother and from-grandmother designs are specific by design; the plain one isn't.
